Not sure if your issue is the same as mine but an ID card is not required you need to blast (with the Plasma Cutter) the redish glowing thing to the right of the door which will allow you to open the door. I just installed the game from Origin it was free so I can't re-install the game I don't have the game code. I'm stuck please assist me in repairing this issue.

The bottom circuit board on the plasma cutter seems to be only effected by reload circuits, so putting anything else there is just a waste. I've tried easy mode & medium mode still does not work.
